Chris and Marina van der Merwe from Magnificent Miniature Creations (MMC) breed Miniature Horses and Donkeys on a farm near Potchefstroom.
We started breeding Miniature Horses in 1995 and imported several stallions and mares from the USA. They were carefully selected from the best bloodlines in America. We run a stud of about two hundred horses. Our aim is to better the South African Miniature Horse in South Africa. We firstly breed for quality and refinement and not necessarily the smallest possible horse. Secondly we aim to breed the exciting colours that are possible with Miniature Horses. Many of MMC Stud's horses did and still do extremely well in the show ring.
